Sofia's practice is guardianship and family law. Guardianship matters include Article 81 of the Mental Hygiene Law, for adults who have lost capacity, and Article 17-A of the SCPA, for adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities. Family-law matters include divorce, custody, support, paternity, and orders of protection.

Honesty and loyalty are the values Sofia names for her own practice, and helping people is what she says she enjoys about the work. Guardianship and family law ask for both: the matters are procedural on paper and personal in fact.
